Groups For Girls

We are please to continue our girls' groups this summer with Laura Byrnes, LCSWA, and Jess Curtis, LCSWA!  One group is for high school age girls, another for middle school age, and we left open another spot on the calendar for younger girls, depending on interest.  These groups are for girls with and without clinical diagnoses who are socially anxious or otherwise have difficulty making and/or keeping friends.

Groups For Guys

And of course we have the return of our Summer Social Skills Groups For Guys, with Solomon Kobes, LCSW, and co-faciliated by Laura!  Groups are available for boys ages 7-22.   No clinical diagnosis is needed to participate in groups, though historically many guys have ADHD and/or High Functioning Autism/Aspergers.

All groups meet weekly for eight weeks, from June into August.  Our eighth and final meeting will be a feedback meeting for parents only.
Participants will enjoy games and activities aimed to encourage sportsmanship, cooperation, non-verbal communication, and social boundaries.  The therapist will provide a safe, structured environment, direct instruction, and facilitate peer-to-peer feedback.
